What is Reiki?
- Reiki was developed by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar, in the early 1900s.
- Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself, working with the total person.
- It is a gentle, non-invasive, yet powerful touch that is used alone or as a complementary service to conventional medicine.
What will your Reiki treatment involve?
- Reiki is given through a gentle touch, but it also can be performed without the use of touch.
- You may feel warmth, coolness, gentle tingling or deep relaxation as my hands are placed on your body (e.g., head, shoulders, abdomen, back, feet).
- Most people become very relaxed and sometimes fall asleep.
- There will be time for discussion following your treatment.
